4 miles with Ellie in the hood this morning.  A light rain started just as we were wrapping up, perfect timing!!

I've got a busy rest of the weekend planned.  Having 2 bookcases delivered later today, Hayes Carll show in Coupland tonight and giving my old friend Randy a thorough tour of Barton Creek tomorrow morning.   He was the Wagonmaster on the wagon train.  We haven't seen each other since the spring of '91!!  I'm pretty excited!!

Chilly 4 mile run this morning.  Ellie did 2 with me.  It really was cold so I didn't want to subject her to the elements for too long.

Me and Ellie got in 2 walking miles early this morning and then another half mile for her to pee one last time before I left for work.

As we were walking this morning I was reflecting on a conversation I had with someone recently.  They asked if I have a hobby.  I thought about it a minute and then replied that besides reading in bed at night I suppose Ellie is my hobby. 

Can a dog be a persons hobby?  I think they can.  I spend as many waking hours with her as I can.  I now seem to plan my social life around her.  I bring her to work with me once a week.  Even though she gets freaked out by any kind of big truck she's always excited to leave the house and run errands with me on the weekend.

Something else I pondered as we walked this morning, it now doesn't seem like my world will come to an end if my running career is over.  I'm feeling pretty contented walking my dog.

Me and Ellie got in an easy 2 mile run/walk this morning and then I actually did an ab workout!!

Me and Ellie got in a good Rudy's Loop yesterday morning.  With my ankle issue it's probably been 10 months or so since I've been on that trail.  So long overdue.  We both really enjoyed ourselves!
